This is your post and we need your help and involvement to be successful.  Please read through the programs listed and see which ones interest you.  Then contact the 1st Vice Commander and let him know which ones you are interested in.  Each program has a time and commitment level.  The time and commitment key is as follows:

• (L) -  Low -     can be done from your home
• (M) -  Medium - involves a small time commitment; a few evenings per month or a few hours per event
• (H) - High -     involves a large time commitment, several evenings per month or several hours per event

The Dragonslayer , will have a "Catholic Action and Americanism Opportunities" column each month informing the membership of different functions going on for that month.

CATHOLIC ACTION

  (L)  SIGN UP PROGRAMS

1. SPIRITUAL BOUQUET FOR THE HOLY FATHER - offer Masses heard, Eucharists received, prayers said, fasting, etc for the Pope's intention.  Print out a Tally Sheet to get started.
2. ROSARY CRUSADE - sign up to say a decade or a third of the Rosary daily, keep count on number said, report totals to Post Coordinator. 
3. EUCHARISTIC ADORATION - spend an hour weekly with the Blessed Sacrament. 
4. MONTHLY NOVENAS - sign up to participate in a different Novena each month.  Subject of Novenas is changed each month to coincide with the Church calendar.  Contact the 1st Vice Commander to be put on a mailing list

  (M)  CORPORATE COMMUNION

• Attend Mass at St. George with Post members and share fellowship with your fellow members and have breakfast or dinner afterwards, as announced in The Dragonslayer.

  (M/H)  PILGRIMAGES

1. LOURDES SHRINE -  during the summer months on Sundays there is offered a Rosary Procession at 3 PM and Stations of the Cross at 4 PM
2. OTHER SITES - details to be listed in advance in The Dragonslayer with dates, who to contact, cost, etc.

  (L)  LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN - on issues concerning our Catholic Faith

1. TO THE EDITOR - of local newspapers
2. TO ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES - local, state, federal
3. TO SPECIFIC INDIVIDUALS OR COMPANIES - state Catholic viewpoint, in support of or in opposition to policies

AMERICANISM

  (L)   FLY THE FLAG - on all holidays; daily flying of the flag is encouraged

  (M)  VOTE!! -  in all elections - local, state and federal.  This is your voice in politics!

  (L)  LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN - concerning our rights and duties as American citizens
